Military and aviation specialist DD Home Entertainment is in negotiations to stage a management buyout from parent MEM plc, the television-focused entertainment company.
Industry veteran Steve Ayres (pictured) who heads up MEM confirmed to Cue Entertainment today that a team led by MD Richard Jones was in talks over the buyout.
“It’s been a feature of our lives for the last month or so,” said Ayres. “The business has been doing pretty well and we thought it was time for us to perhaps take some value from it.”
He said it was something that was being looked at “quite actively” and was “alive and kicking” but added: “It’s by no means certain to happen.”
Ayres also reported a “very buoyant trading scenario” for MEM in its studio, on the production side and at DD.
