Entertainment One’s “Detroit” is the biggest competition to “Dunkirk” on the Official Video Chart this week.
“Detroit” currently occupies the No. 2 slot on today’s Official Chart Update, which tracks the first three days of this week’s sales window. As it stands, “Dunkirk” will top the DVD and Blu-ray chart for a fourth week and would become the longest-running chart topper since “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” spent four weeks at No. 1 in early 2017.
Signature Entertainment is celebrating another high-flying new entry with its science fiction thriller “Beyond Skyline” at No. 3.
Universal’s Davina McCall fitness DVD has clearly benefitted from renewed dedication to New Year resolutions, “Toned in 10” has risen 15 places to No. 4 and Lionsgate’s English-language, French-Belgian war movie “The Man With The Iron Heart” is also selling well at No. 5.
New entries and high climbers
Two more new entries are expected to impact this week’s Top 40, with “Leatherface” (Lionsgate), the “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” prequel at No. 16 and 101 Films’ “Geo-Disaster”, an action movie that sees Los Angeles hit by a super volcano, a mega earthquake and a twister at the same time, at No. 30.
Finally, with interest in all things royal peaking at the moment, Sony’s sumptuous “The Crown: Season One” has risen nine places to No. 29.
